If a card's effect states that it's unaffected by spells, traps, and monster effects does that still apply when the monster is in your hand? For example, if you have a Obelisk and your opponent activates a card that makes you discard, is it still discarded or does it stay in your hand because of the effect? try swapping the dragon's bead for royal oppression. runs great with red eyes darkness metal dragon, and also allows you to stop your opponent from summoning =) also add in some ancient rules in place of wingbeat and gunfire, great way to get red eyes. maybe 1 or 2 more red eyes and a couple red eyes b. chicks might help a lot in the long run. hope it helps =)

I know the biggest thing that helped me, especially in college, was getting a day planner. I know it sounds lame...but they have some super cute ones and they really help you write what you need to do and what's going on. When you get home, simply look at it and cross things off as you finish them. It'll help you remember your homework, projects, and about anything else you need to remember for the day. Also, get a small work space where you can do your work, and keep it there. Constantly having to move your work can be a pain and stressful, also make you more prone to lose things. Also, if you're talking about going the extra mile, maybe getting some storage space if you need some for clothes on the ground, etc.

The deck is way too random. If you are just starting out, try doing a single color and make it surrounding a good theme like elves, faeries, or beasts. If you are making a multicolored deck, never put cards that cost 3 or more of the same mana in it, it will be way to hard to cast those spells properly. You also need to put less cards that cost a large amount of mana into the deck or you will not be playing very many things during the first few turns.

Take out the Gods. Sacrificing 3 monsters for a summon is just not worth it especially for Ra and Slifer. Make sure you have a good balance of monsters that you can sacrifice for the tribute monsters otherwise your going to be sitting with Blue Eyes in your hand and no way to get them on the field. An alternative you might consider if you could get a Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon and Polymerization to use would be to fuse your 3 Blue Eyes from a strategy standpoint you would probably be further ahead to make this a Dragon Deck revolving around cards from that archetype.

am i the only one that is mad that it took many years before the egyptian god cards came out with effects, and so far two of them did an their effects are horrible. ra can be easily be destroyed by spell and trap cards and you must pay all your life points leaving you with 100 life points left to summon and obelisk if you use his tribute 2 monsters effect than he cant attack. come on these guys are supposed to be the ******* god cards aka the strongest monsters in yugioh!!!!!! do you guys think these effects suck too? also what would you guys have their effects be if you could change them?

Ok so theres this guy and I found out his combo and I thought it would be funny if I made a huge thing out of it. The whole thing got so big and all of a sudden everyone in the grade knew his combo. I dot follow the new rules either, but in the old rules, you can't use Egyptian god cards. and exodia is useless unless you have cards such as "witch of te black forest" to draw them from the deck to your hand faster. the ookazi are nearly useless when your doing a 8000 life point duel, only clogs up your deck when you need good cards, I prefer good old 5-6 star cards and not wasting 2 card sacrifices on one monster, so the blue eyes aren't good. Try for some 1800 or 1900 atk 4 star cards.

Get rid of Feral Imp and replace It with Snipe Hunter. You can use Snipe hunter to discard Night Assailant, who will be brought back to your hand with it's own effect, so you can destroy any card on the field guaranteed (accept for Obelisk). In order to deal with him you need to use a skill drain, and do it before he's been summoned, this way he has no effect, and you can kill him with whatever card floats your boat (hint hint Yomi Ship). He is also vulnerable to the technicality, "cannot be targeted", so if you use a card like Mirror Force or Lightning Vortex he's done like dinner, regardless of his effect. ;) . Hope this helps. :)

DESPERATE: Tomb Raider Anniversary for Wii question!?

I've been playing Tomb Raider: Anniversary on the Wii for the past few weeks, but now I'm stuck. I'm in the Obelisk of Kahmoon level in Egypt, in the tall room where Laura has to reach ledges by doing wall runs past spinning blades before they come out again and cut her grapple cord. I've tried over a dozen times, and I just cannot get past the part with the second blade/wall run where Laura has to do a wall run and then jump to the handhold above the one she initially wall ran from. Every time I try, Laura can never reach the second handhold/ledge and either ends up back on the first one or falling to her death after I try to gain more height by swinging back and forth an additional time (the blades come out and cut her cord, causing her to fall). So please, if anyone has any tips as to how I can get past this, I would immensely appreciate it! Thanks :)

I'd add a solidarity and make this deck more Machine-type focused. With gadgets the focus is to use them to bring out more powerful monsters or make them powerful monsters. Solidarity works as long as you have all of one type in your Graveyard. Hence the more machines thing.

But the new winged dragon of ra is tricky. So far the only strategy I have to counter it, is to make sure my opponent doesn't have the necessary sacrifices so that it can't get on the field. But that won't work if he special summons the necessary tributes in one turn. So how can I beat it once its on the field? And one more question. The card reads that spell and traps can't be activated when its normal summoned. Does that mean that the turn it gets normal summoned spell and traps can't be used, but then the next turn I can go back to using them again?

First things first there is a thing called lower case letters. They are much more pleasing to the eye and easier to read. Second off your deck is not good. Number one, if a monster does not have an effect then it is not good and should not be put in a deck. That is unless you are playing a skill drain beat down deck. Number two, if you do not have fusing monsters as a main mode of play then do not have polymerization. It takes up a card spot and is usually a dead draw. Finally number three, you should not have more than one double or triple sacrifice monster in your deck unless there is an easy way to summon by creating tribute fodder. I suggest you ether make a dragon deck or a beat down deck. For the dragons take out everything that is not a dragon or dragon support. For the beat down deck only use high attack monsters like goblin attack force etc, and cards that easily destroy your opponents monsters.

The card's effect says: "This card cannot be targeted by effects of Spells, Traps, or Effect Monsters.". Now this is really complicated because it is indeed true that some cards such as Dark Hole, Final Destiny, Raigeki, etc. Are not actually targeting cards, they just destroy all of them, but I've seen other effect cards that have: "This card cannot be destroyed by effects of cards that SPECIFICALLY designate this card as a target". So...what's the deal with that? Obelisk never says SPECIFICALLY. I need an official reference that says how this actually works. Thanks in advance :)

First of all, all of the cards with the name Forbidden One in them are very good when combined in a duel, and very rare. Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, and The Winged Dragon of Ra are what as known as the legendary god cards.(again those are rare and powerful) This probably explains why your best friend's brother would try to steal them. The rest I am not sure of, but all together worth more than 10 bucks. You got a good deal :)

obelisk is not banned nor limited but the reason why obelisk is not used in tournaments is because nowadays, the game of yugioh has evolved to a much quicker game. the usable obelisk and any card can be bought via ideal808.com cuz u cant get obelisk in a booster. people use archtypes such as six samurais, gravekeepers, machina gadgets, blackwings etc because these decks are considered top tier. many deck archtypes have so many combos that most can end the duel in a single turn and basically your obelisk would never hit the field by then. in addition, god cards don't have many support cards compared to the many archtypes there are in the game so if you focus in this type of deck you would be in a very big disadvantage. for more info, go to tcgplayer.com, you can take a look at deck builds there and get an idea of what type of deck would suit your style, that would be my recommendation to you...

Girls opinions please?

So im just looking for a girls opinion on what is going through my ex girlfriends mind at this point. She broke up with me about 3 months ago, started seeing someone else a month after we broke up but we have remained somewhat friends.we lost our virginities to each other so had a very strong bond and even after the break up have talked about alot of serious things. recently though, she has been ignoring me more and more. taking her time to get back to me when we are texting. she is usually the one to initiate the contact as well. just yesterday she changed her profile pic on facebook to a picture of her and her new guy, which obviously at first, was hard for me to see. I have never gone to Italy. But I have seen the cities of Rome and Venice in videos and photographs in magazines. And I was really astonished seeing the beauty of these two cities. I have a relative who works in navy and he has toured almost every portion of the world. When I asked him that after visiting the entire world which city do you consider as the most beautiful city in the whole world, he replied that it is Rome. I wonder, why it is so? What is the reason or inspiration behind the Italians becoming such great architects of those magnificent buildings, fine sculpture artist, beautifully arranged city planners? And why other cities of Europe have not succeeded to come upto that level?

I have this Obelisk the tormentor card and I don't play the card game, does anyone know what I can do with it, or how much it sells for?

i think slifer is an awesome card and he probably will get banned if there isnt a cost for the 2000 def effect, cuz alot of monsters dont have that much defense. but if there is a cost he might not, he might just get limited considering he requires you to have at least two cards in your hand for him to be able to withstand a chance of survival. but yeah i know nothing about his release i just like the card.

i need a reason to be alive. The truth is that ever since middle school began my life had no purpose. I'm even considering suicide. and for those of u that are going to say i'm a precious human in gods eyes, shut the f*** up..let me start from the beginning. i'm a girl who has had a moderatly happy life until middle scholl where my adopted parents let me go. My real parents were actually the in-laws of my adopted parents, but they divorced because my blood parents (who are immature freaks that i probably even INHERITED that gene from) kept fighting. You can already see how messed up my life is. my REAL aunt and uncle who i've lived with a loong time just left me for no reason with my grandmother who i've lived with for four YEARS now because they believed my dad would take their BURDEN out of their hands, and so my dad would actually treat me like his DAUGHTER. I fight with my grandma like EVERYDAY, so i also cry my eyes out everyday alone because all of my close friiends at school are not like the friends you would expect, but users. I prayed to god for a LLLOONG time now, and all that's comeout of is worse and worse. I'm believing he doesn't even exist now, since energy that comes from a dead JUST goes back to earth, and doesn't magically go into the sky(or heaven if u will), so there's no one to talk to. My mother, i only now now for five years and i'm in highschool. she suddenly appears in my life, and tries to tell me waht to do, what i will do for my future, etc. The thing is, that i once used to have this fire in me that's gone now cause whenever i tried to find myself ANYTHING that make me happy, all of the worldly circumstances tell me NO. LIKE: actress:my aunt goes out of her way to go to a fortuneteller and even PAYS her to tell me i have no future in that, doctor: my doctor grandmother says i'll never live up to her standards, designer: my mom laughs at me and says to go to some shitty community college, ANHYTHING. I'm even crying right now as i type this! also my dad doesn't even live in the same STATE as me! My mom's married to some random imature guy JUST AS immature as her, with some random 1/2 sister for MEE who's even mentally challenged. I don'e even live in the same FAMILY as her, and she forces me to visit her in the weekends with GUILT ******* TRIPS. the only reason i go is because my ******* grandma cant drive me ******* two feet from 'our' house.
