Hi, My boyfriend and I have decided that we're going to backpack around France for 2-3 months next April....?

Just wondering if anyone else has done this and has any advice on how to plan our time there? Are there any good websites we should know of, with perhaps a route planner? Also, how much would you estimate we would need to spend per day, including accommodation? Thank you in advance.. :)
