I regret where I lost my virginity?

I'm starting to regret where I lost my virginity. It's not who I lost it to, because we were in love and I was ready for it. We're not together right now because he needs some time to fix things within himself before we can get back together, and I respect and admire him for that. It was about a year ago when I lost my virginity at the age of 18. I lost my virginity in a car because my boyfriend is in the army so we never got the chance to spend the night together, or for me to even enter into the barracks, therefore we never had the chance to see a bed. He was polite with everything, but I just can't help regret losing my virginity in a car. Any advice?
