Losing my virginity to a friend I really don't care much for..?

I'm a freshman in college and I'm still a virgin.-_-. Most of my friends aren't virgins and I feel a little out of place. SO lately I have been wanting to just get it over with so I won't be a timid virgin my whole entire life with a male friend. Now I do NOT like my guy friend in any sort of romantic way at all. Our chemistry is terrible and he tries to tell me what to do which I indeed hate. But he is my only available guy friend I actually trust to have sex with at this time. Besides I believe that whole saving your virginity for marriage thing is a waste of time because being a virgin makes relationships corney and non lasting enough to even get to the marriage part. Correct me if I am wrong and please give me your opinions on this situation. Btw, masturbating becomes boring and depressing, makes you kinda upset when all you get is a hand instead of the real thing like most "normal" people should.
