Is this a good thing?

Many people only lose their virginity after they get married and never before. I've just gotten married but I am adamant about staying a virgin for the rest of my life. So I was wondering...is that a good thing? I mean it completley stops all risks of unwanted pregnancy (I never want kids) and stops things like STDs.
