Hardened Armed Dragon + the god cards combo?

RGBT-EN083 Hardened Armed Dragon-You can send 1 Level 8 or higher monster from your hand to the Graveyard and Special Summon this card. If you Tribute this card for the Tribute Summon of a Level 7 or higher monster, that monster cannot be destroyed by card effects... now i understand that if sangan was tributed for one of the god cards sangans effact would not work do to the god cards effect saying no effects can be activated. when obelisk is summon with hardened armed dragon as one of the tributes will hardened armed dragon effect still work the fallowing turn since it will be continuous while in the graveyard. or will it also be negated like sangan for the turn. if so does that make the god cards immortal for the remainder of the dual?
