I lost my virginity a couple of days ago, and I notice flaky skin on my forskin?

I lost my virginity a couple of days ago, (3 days to be exact) well, while taking a shower today I noticed that my skin on my foreskin is flaky and sort of pealing? I'm 23 and never really had this problem before. Is this normal? I did wear protection, but I wasn't sure If I had it on right and the girl put it on for me
