Help with archos 704 80gig wifi?

I am struggling to connect my archos to my tv or sky? ? Can anyone help, plugged my scart into scart then connected the red yellow and White cables to the Archos, select record and nothing comes through, also in tv planner its empty, can anyone help as to what I need to do? ? Desperate to sort it as I just got it and it's driving me potty , it's showing the not connected on the archos, can anyone help me ? ? Please? ?
